Post about Twitter
I don't like twitter. I don't feel like its necessarily safe for students to use. It's way to easy to abuse and I feel like theirs better technology that can do the same type of thing that is safer.
Post about Google Docs
Wow Google docs is so useful!!! What a great way to get assignments done for students. I can also use this for lessons or introductions to field trips or whatever! I love that it can be shared between students that's really helpful. I will absolutely use this in my classroom for my students some day.
Thoughts about Wikis
Wiki's are a fun way for kids to interact with technology. I'm glad i learned how to use them I think they will come in handy when I'm a teacher some day!
Final reflective post
It's ironic because my science 350 class is about getting the kids outside and away from technology and this class is about incorporating technology into the classroom. I've discovered that a healthy balance of the two is necessary for a well rounded education. I've discovered some extremely useful tools that i had never heard of before. Google docs is probably the most useful tool I've learned about but others that caught my attention would be google earth, podcasts, and webquests. Incorporating technology into the classroom not only prepares students for the technological world, but allows them to be more independent and responsible for their education. One thing I've learned not to do is overload the students with independent work. Keeping the students working together on projects is way more effective. One technology i don't see myself using is twitter. I feel like twitter is not a necessary addition because allot of inappropriate things can be posted that are non preventable. At the beginning of the semester my confidence on my ability to run different technology was low. Throughout the semester I've learned that I can be just as techy as the next teacher! Technology in the classroom is a great learning tool and I will be using it in my future classroom.

Google Earth
Google Earth is an extremely useful tool in the classroom. There is soo many tools! I could use this as an astrology assignment to students to find constelations and planets and where they are in relation to eachother.
